NEWS CENTER - The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the plane carrying Ukrainian prisoners of war crashed.
 
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a Russian IL-76 type transport plane carrying Ukrainian prisoners of war for exchange crashed in Belgorod. According to the information in the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti; The Ministry of Defense stated that there were 65 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, six crew members and three companions on the plane that crashed at around 11:00 am.
 
The Russian Air Force sent a commission to the scene to investigate the accident. Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kremlin is aware of the situation and is "dealing with the issue."
