US and UK launch airstrikes on Houthis

NEWS CENTER - The US and the UK targeted the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.

 
The USA and the UK carried out a new airstrike at midnight against Houthi (Ansarullah) targets in Yemen. It was stated that approximately 36 targets belonging to the Houthis were hit.
 
In the statement made on the X social media account of the Houthis-affiliated Al-Mesirah television channel, it was stated that the USA and the UK targeted the cities of Zemar, Hajjah and Al-Bayda, as well as Sanaa. 
On the news site called "Ansarullah" affiliated with the Houthis, it was recorded that the USA and the UK carried out 11 air strikes on the Haifan and Al-Berah regions in the city of Taiz. The news stated that the attacks in Sanaa were concentrated in An-Nahdeyn and Attan regions.
 
British Ministry of Defence, Minister Grant Shapps, said: "The Royal Air Force engaged in a third wave of proportionate and targeted strikes against Houthi military targets in Yemen. We acted alongside our US allies, with the support of many international partners, in self-defence and in accordance with international law." 
 
On the other hand, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced in a statement on its X virtual media account that 6 anti-ship missiles belonging to the Houthis, which were preparing to be launched from Yemen into the Red Sea, were destroyed.
